We’re moving (back)! Starting Sunday November 6th, we will be gathering in our new location, the Seattle World School (1700 E Union St) at our regular time, 10am. Here’s all you need to know:

Why are we moving?

Before the pandemic we gathered for a year at the Seattle World School. When the pandemic hit Seattle schools shut down and we were without a facility. Eventually we began to gather again at the Mount Baker Community Club. This space has served us very well and for many in our church this is the only space they know. While we have loved our time at the Mount Baker Community Club we need more space. Primarily when it comes to classrooms for our children and students. We want to make room for more individuals and families to hear the good news of Jesus and join God’s family and mission in Seattle.

When & Where are we moving?

Starting Sunday, November 6th, 2022 we will be gathering weekly just minutes away from our current location at The Seattle World School (1700 E Union St, Seattle, WA 98122).  The Seattle World School is a part of the Seattle Public Schools, uniquely serving 1st generation immigrant families in Seattle. We have served this school for the last 7 years as a church and expect opportunities to serve to only increase.

Will anything change?

Not too much. This facility is an upgrade in just about every way: Larger worship space, more classrooms, a gym, and more open space for mingling and connecting. The school is also surrounded by a park, grass field, and big toy play area. In addition, there is more parking and safer parking than we have now. It’s a win-win all around.

What is exciting about this move?

We are excited about this move because it places us in a more central location to a variety of different neighborhoods in Seattle. Most of all, the space allows us to scale up our kids programming and make more room for the growing number of people and families attending CCC. We have also long supported the students and families at the Seattle World School as they come into a country and city for the first time. Sharing space with them will open up more opportunities to share the love of Jesus.

Will there be parking?

Yes! There are two parking lots, a smaller lot at the entrance of the school off of Union St, and a larger lot behind the school off of E Pike St, just one block North of Union St. There is also plenty of free street parking.

What can I do to help?

First, pray. Pray for our staff and leadership as we plan for this adjustment. Pray for our relationship with the school that our presence would be a blessing to them. And pray for the new people that will come through our doors as a result of this new location, that we could continue to be God’s heart in the heart of the city. Second, serve. As we scale up our ministries in the next 3-6 months, we will need more volunteers in just about every area of our Sunday morning ministry. Kids, hospitality, worship, & setup. If you could be on one or more of these teams and commit for the next 3-6 months that would be amazing. The quickest way to get into a volunteer position is to fill out a connect card or send us an Email.
