POSITION OVERVIEW: The objective of the Community Development and Outreach Director is to facilitate the development of relationship-based outreach and community development efforts of Central Community Church (CCC) in partnership with Urban Impact, developing leaders, capacity, and funding.

Reports To: Lead Pastor of CCC and Executive Director of Urban Impact

Employment Status: Part-Time to Full-Time depending on candidates availability

Compensation: $48,000-60,000 Based on Experience + Benefits

Requires: Both in person and remote work with a significant onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities (Urban Impact):
• Serve as liaison between Urban Impact and Central Community Church
• Steward partnerships with other community churches and organizations
• Lead Urban Impact Strategic & Operational Planning process with
[email protected] and collaborate with church ministry staff, departments, and body to develop a long-term outreach & community development plan (focusing on local schools, church neighbors, and other local organizations)
• Steward and grow CCC’s Youth Ministry impact in the Central District (Youth Central)
• Oversee, supervise, and hold accountable Church Hub Team as it relates to the operational plan, including regular team meetings with staff and volunteer teams
• Create and implement systems and structure towards quality sustainable programming
• Complete reports, track metrics, and outcomes related to contracts, grants, operational plans
• Responsible for managing sustainable funding plan in partnership with UI Development Team, including grant writing, donor meetings, crafting stories, and photos
• Support Lead Pastor and church surrounding the principles of Christian Community Development and train and equip congregants to better live into CCD principles.
• Attend UI Leadership, Staff, Project and Supervision Meetings (as scheduled)
• Meet regularly with Lead Pastor, attend church staff meetings and trainings (monthly), serve on Church Ministry Teams as requested (i.e., prayer and mission team lead)
• Actively promote UI mission and vision as inherently tied to the CCC mission and vision
• Promote opportunities for CCC members to engage in community development and outreach programs and provide trainings (re: Christian Community Development principles, youth engagement, school-based programming, and outreach strategies)
• Consistently provide ([email protected]) program updates to the CCC body
• Collaborate with church staff, departments, and body to develop a long-term outreach and community development plan (focused on schools, neighbors, and local organizations)

• Professing and active follower if Jesus, committed to spiritual development and maturity
• Experience working in ethnic and culturally diverse environment, practicing cultural humility and reconciliation
• Ability to develop strong partnerships with schools, community organizations, churches
• Effectively manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, recruit, develop and support volunteers
• Experience working in a church setting, with an understanding of the philosophical differences between church ministry and para-church ministry
