Big Announcement: We’ve Moved!
Cccseattle

We’ve moved! Join us Sunday’s at 10am at our new location, the Seattle World School  (1700 E Union St) at our regular time, 10am. Here’s all you need to know:

  • Why are we moving?

To put simply, we have outgrown our current space. We do not have enough worship space or classroom space for our children and students. We want to make room for more individuals and families to hear the good news of Jesus and join God’s family and mission in Seattle.

  • When & Where are we moving?

Starting Sunday, March 3rd, 2019, we will be gathering weekly just seven blocks away (see map) from our current location at The Seattle World School (1700 E Union St, Seattle, WA 98122).  The Seattle World School is a part of the Seattle Public Schools, uniquely serving 1st generation immigrant families in Seattle. We have served this school for the last 4 years as a church and expect this partnership only to grow.

  • Why not go to two services?

Two services will not solve the current issue of space for our children and students. If we continue to grow we will pursue two services in the new facility.

  • Will anything change?

Not too much. This facility is an upgrade in just about every way: Larger worship space, more classrooms, a gym, and more open space for mingling and connecting. The school is also surrounded by a park, grass field, and big toy play area. In addition, there is the same amount if not more parking than we have now. It’s a win-win all around. The greatest adjustment will be behind the scenes with our setup and tear down crew as we will be unloading and loading a truck each week. If you are looking for a place to volunteer, this would be it!

  • Will this impact our budget?

Yes, but not by much. We currently pay $2500 a month for rent at Miller Community Center. To rent the World School our rent will increase to $3500 a month ($250/week). With this increase we will end up with more space than before as well as have the space all to ourselves.

  • What is exciting about this move?

We are excited about this move because it allows us to make more room for more people to hear and experience the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are also excited to have a space that is uniquely our own and is more conducive to Sunday worship. This move also preserves our outward focus and community engagement as the Seattle World School has long been a place we have loved and served. We think worshiping there on Sunday’s will only increase opportunities to serve them as well as open doors for families of the school to join our community.

  • Will there be parking?

Yes! There are two parking lots, a smaller lot at the entrance of the school off of Union St, and a larger lot behind the school off of E Pike St, just one block North of Union St. There is also plenty of free street parking.

  • What can I do to help?

First, pray. This move has been miraculous in so many ways and we want to continue to follow God closely. We believe this is not just an opportunity to get into a better space, but it’s also an opportunity to refine and improve all that we do. As a young church we are always learning and growing, and we want to continually get better at stewarding and shepherding the people God has brought to us and the people he is going to bring to us. Second, serve. We will need more volunteers in just about every area of our Sunday morning ministry. Kids, hospitality, worship, & setup. If you could be on one or more of these teams and commit for the next 3-6 months that would be amazing. The quickest way to get into a volunteer position is to fill out a connect card on Sunday morning, or send us an Email.
